Mother Nature by Keri Ruediger |
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It's a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things received and share news about what's coming up for the next week ahead.
Happy Mother's Day! It's been a great day filled with food and visiting family members. I'm starting another semester of school tomorrow. All my classes are for my new Education major. It'll be interesting to see what I make of them. Things are going to get hectic real fast so I'll try to be more on top of posts and comments as I can be.
Last Week on the Blog:
Last week I signed up for the Clean Sweep ARC Challenge which will hopefully motivate me to read more ARCs. I've read two so far so that's a good start. I participated in two blog tours: Torn Away and Synchrony. You can enter a chance to win a paperback copy of Torn Away until the 13th! I also posted an update on my Summer Reading Program.
Around the Blogosphere (a.k.a. my to-read list is now larger):
Some books I added to my to-read list that I can't wait to get my hands on: Only Everything by Kieran Scott and The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu.
Katie's Book Blog's interview with Kieran Scott made me fall for Only Everything's premise.
The Truth About Alice reminds me of Thirteen Reasons Why. O t looks really good and hopefully the concept is done right.
Posts/articles/videos I enjoyed:
- What Will Summer Bring? via The Secret Files of Fairday Morrow
- "The Fault in Our Stars" Movie Review via Thoughts by J
- Review: The Art of Lainey by Paula Stokes via Realm of Fiction
- The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski via The Diva Booknerd
Plans for Next Week:
I was supposed to review Shatter Me and Destroy Me this week but I didn't get the chance. I already have the review of Shatter Me done and I'll have to do Destroy Me's review soon.
If I have time I want to review The Dirt Diary and Made of Stars. At the very least I will have read The Dirt Diary by the end of the week. School comes first of course so we will see what happens. What are you planning to read this week?
I want to read The Truth About Alice too! Isn't the cover delicious?! Luuurve. Also very jealous of Torn Away. :) I loved Hate List by Jennifer Brown and I'm keen to try something else of hers!
ReplyDeleteI know I absolutely love the cover of The Truth About Alice!
DeleteSame with me. I've only ever read Hate List by Jennifer Brown and I was fortunate to read Torn Away.
I hope your Summer semester goes really well and you like all your new classes =) I added Torn Away to my TBR after reading a bunch of good reviews during the blog tour. I really like the cover for The Truth About Alice but it doesn't sound like my type of read.
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough I am taking two classes that are probably too advanced for me starting out so I might have more time on my hands than I originally thought.
DeleteMaybe some reviews come out for The Truth About Me and you'll reconsider (:
The Dirt Diary looks interesting! Excited for your review!
ReplyDeleteMissie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
It should be a fun read (:
DeleteI love the Mother Nature picture! I also have The Truth About Alice on my TBR, so hopefully I can read that soon. This is my first time here and I really like your blog design! Good luck with your new classes and have a great week!!

My Nook, Books & More
The cover for Made of Stars is just so beautiful! I want it solely for that hehe. I've been meaning to grab The Truth About Alice as well, it sounds like a wonderful read. Gaaah, I think I need to go and join an ARC challenge as well, I'm falling so behind on my schedules, but you're right, school always need to come first. Thanks for the shout out in your post Adriana <3 I can't wait to see what you've read next week xx
