I am manifesting this reading list!
I have given myself a reading project to help read through my 2025 Reading List. The project is based on a color wheel so I am picking a bunch of blue, green, etc. books to read and review. My January TBR List quickly became unrealistic because I picked pretty books I had planned for different colored covers that I never ended up getting to. I thought since it was the first month of the year I would be flying through those books but alas here we are and I am not even halfway through the list of books I had planned. I've read more pages this month than I have read since the summer so I am building momentum.
I've chosen green and orange covers for this TBR because those are some of my last picks from the color wheel (I spun the color wheel already to see what order of colors I would get. I am a planner so it was a must for me.). I don't know if I'll make it but I'll try my hardest to since I have other projects I want to work on and more books I want to read.
I didn't include my book club read but my IRL book club is reading Everyone Here is Lying by Shari Lapena. I am also trying to read 3 ARCs this month including They Bloom at Night by Trang Tranh Tran. From this list, other than the ARC, I am most excited to read Tangled Up In You by Christina Lauren. I hardly read straight-up romance without a fantasy element but I think I will love this one. I've been wanting to read it since last year so I am very hyped!
- If You Can't Take the Heat by Michael Ruhlman (foodie books especially competitions is one of my favorite bookish themes)
- They Bloom at Night by Trang Thanh Tran (this cover is everything and the horror elements sound amazing)
- Unhappy Camper by Lily LaMotte (a little early to read a summer graphic novel but there are so little orange books on my radar)
- A Grim Reaper's Guide to Catching a Killer by Maxie Dara (it's giving Dead Like Me vibes)
- Blade of Secrets by Tricia Levenseller (how have i never read a book with a blacksmith?)
- Tangled Up in You by Christina Lauren (rapunzel retelling. enough said.)
