Grown-up Meg, tomboyish Jo, timid Beth, and precocious Amy. The four March sisters couldn't be more different. But with their father away at war, and their mother working to support the family, they have to rely on one another. Whether they're putting on a play, forming a secret society, or celebrating Christmas, there's one thing they can't help wondering: Will Father return home safely?
I have been putting this on my TBR since Summer and I will read this whether I like to or not! Not really. I just think this is a cozy and warm book perfect for December. I'm also determined to read it in 2020 already. It'll be my main book which should help me finally to get started on this book. This version is over 700 pages which has probably been why I have been taking so long to get started. But this will be the month I read Little Women. It has to be!
The idyllic days of Hakumei and Mikochi are full of adventures, but what do nights in the forest hold for these two pint-size friends? When the sun sets, time seems to slow to a crawl, bringing quiet moments and simple pleasures. From taking the night train to sharing a drink on a moonlit eve, Hakumei and Mikochi prove that, night or day, life is best when savored to the fullest...
I have fallen in love with Hakumei and Mikochi. They are pint-sized friends living in the woods, making friends, and going on adventures. They are the coziest books I have ever read. They make me so happy! I think reading the rest of the books I have from this series and Little Women will make December such a wonderful reading month. It also gives me time to write up a bunch of posts so win-win.
What will your last books of 2020 be?
I have a copy of Little Women that I've been avoiding, too! December does seem like a good time to read it, though!
ReplyDeleteIt's so worth the read but it's better to read it slowly for a long period of time.
