#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and That’s What I’m Talking About. FitReaders is a group of readers who support each other in their fitness progress. The best place to catch them would be the Facebook Group and Twitter under the #FitReaders hashtag. Felicia @ Geeky Bloggers Book Blog will be doing monthly reminders to join each month and Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About will be doing weekly check-ins on her blog.
It's been two weeks since I posted my #FitReaders goals post and I have been doing absolutely terrible. The first week I sort of tracked my water intake (in my head) and I drank about 80 oz of water which is basically nothing. This past week I drank a lot more. About 152 oz of water but I'm not sure how exact that is. I've got myself a journal so hopefully, that helps with writing down my water intake.
Now, to the exercise. I really did nothing. I moved last Friday and Saturday (that's why my water intake went so up) and wow did I work those days. I had to pack up my thing in boxes, go up and down stairs with those boxes, unpack said boxes, and organize everything for hours. I spent at least two hours a day exercising. I say only two hours of real exercise because I don't consider organizing books exercise but I do consider moving boxes and overall overexerting myself as exercise. However, I need to change something. I've noticed like usual that I want to relax when I get home and I don't know how to be productive and do the things I want to do. I don't read when I get home. I don't jump to clean anything or make food. I watch a bunch of Youtube and then eventually get to some of these things. That's the bare minimum and where does the exercise come in?
So my goal this week is to actually write down my water intake and do the unthinkable. Stop watching so much Youtube. I need to take Youtube out of the equation as well as TV in general for a while and then ease it back in. I don't know if it's silly to go cold turkey but I need to make some changes if I'm going to get into a healthier routine. Weekends are focused on reading, blogging, commenting, cleaning, cooking, other errands, and spending time with the family. I need to get into high gear to do this but executing this is a lot more difficult than planning it out. I'm also making the excuse that it's raining a lot but I can at least exercise at home. I wanted to do workout videos but I think that is too much temptation to watch other things and be lazy. I'm still not sure what to do. But, if I don't watch TV or Youtube I will be forced to do something else and I am thinking it will lead to doing things that are productive.
How are you feeling about your daily routine?
You could watch workout videos on Youtube or tv - then you're still kind of getting that fix but working out, too! I have a water bottle that has measurements listed on it, so it would be easy to figure out how much I'm drinking if I were tracking it! I know I find it hard to get motivated to exercise. I try to split it up into small chunks during the day so it doesn't feel overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteI have been doing pretty well with exercise over the last few months. I haven't lost one pound- lol- but I am probably eating more too. I worked from home for the last three months of school and was so stressed out about everything going on in the world that I did take a break every day to go on my treadmill (when I am warming up and cooling down I look at social media etc- so I don't feel like it is sucking up a lot of my time I need for other things). I did start drinking less water though- and I am having a hard time getting back on the water wagon. I do drink 2 large glasses right when I wake up. I am going to try to do the same around lunch and dinner so I can get in more water, but we will see. I also haven't been eating as healthy. When I went to work I would pack myself cucumber slices and celery, and all kinds of healthy things. And at work I had no other choices. Seems that at home- I gravitate towards chips and snacks. I am trying to work on it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting in more water and exercise. Sounds like you are got a lot of exercise from moving- so that is a plus. :) Enjoy your new place.
