The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, Twitter chats, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 25 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books teamI love how every Bout of Books has fallen on a busy week. This week is my first week of a new semester (again) however, it's usually just introductions and figuring out the layout of the classes so I think I'll be able to get a bunch of books in.
- Read 5 books.
- Read everyday.
- Participate in at least 2 challenges.
- Visit at least 5 blogs participating in the readathon.
I'm giving myself plenty of options like usual. I hope I get to read some novels and not just picture books but whatever happens, happens.
Small Town Hearts: I've been wanting to read this one for ages. Small towns, food, and romance are what I consider a perfect read.
Impossible Music: This is an ARC about becoming deaf and loving music just the same. There are mixed reviews so far so I have this crazy curiosity to see if I'll love it or hate it.
Emma in the Night: Sisters, disappearances, and a mystery. I'm looking forward to getting lost in this one.
Poseidon: This was an old ARC I never downloaded but apparently I can still review so I decided to pick it up from the library.
Little Witch Academia Vol. 1: I watched the first season of the TV series on Netflix and fell in love. I'm sure this will be a fun, quick read that I'll enjoy.
Little Witch Academia Vol. 2: There are only the two out of three volumes in my library system so I thought why not add this one into the tbr list.
Three Bears in a Boat: I can already tell this one is going to have beautiful illustrations. I'm expecting good things from this one.
Ocean Meets Sky: Another prettily illustrated picture book. It looks to be about imagination more than anything else which should be nice to read about.
Death on Tap: I added this last minute since I thought I would have been done with it. I have one hundred pages left so I should be done with it soon. It's a cozy mystery surrounding brewery and ex-husband drama.
Coming soon!
Good luck! I completely missed that Bout of Books was even happening because work has been SO BUSY the last two weeks, but I hope you're able to accomplish your goals!

Impossible Music is one I want to read, so I'll be curious to see what you think! I enjoyed Small Town Hearts even though I did have a few quibbles. I hope these are all a hit for you, and that you reach your goals!
