About Me

Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Adriana. I am a 20 year old girl that's in her Sophomore year in college. I live with my parents and two older brothers that I love dearly. I also have two dogs, Elvis and Bacardi. Elvis is named because I had an Elvis phase and Bacardi (no we aren't drunks) because that's the name he came with. Both are small and lazy yet adorable. I also have my cat, Molly, my golden child who can be wild if she wants to be. Prefers my brother... of course.

I'm majoring in Psychology and later... I don't know right now. I'm thinking of going into Library and Information Science.

I've been writing this blog and have been on blogger since September 2011.

Some of My Favorite Things

Other than books I love movies especially Disney and Pixar ones. If I'm watching a horror film know that I will first think that it won't be so bad but when it ends know I will say I'll never watch a movie like it yet I will. Oh the unnecessary pain I put myself through... I endlessly watch "girly" movies with my mom so it's no wonder my favorite movie is Sweet Home Alabama. She's also made me like HGTV, Wedding, and cake shows (the cake shows was me).

I am a teen so I love teen shows like Teen Wolf, Vampire Diaries, The (former show) Secret Circle, Hart of Dixie, and oddly enough kids shows on PBS and old shows on channels like This TV. I'll watch anything.

Having two older brothers I have to play video games but I prefer ones like Harvest Moon and Final Fantasy. I also got to watching anime because of them like FLCL, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Naruto.

Anything else you want to know about me let me know!

  1. I was a psych major too! (And now I'm a psychologist). What makes you think you're no good with kids? That's tough when you're not sure what to major in.

    1. Aw!!! What a surprise to see you there.
Really? I see that you have written some non psychology books. One which I recognize so that's pretty awesome.
      I haven't been around many kids in my life like at all. I've noticed that when I am around toddlers and five year olds I don't now what to do. I don't know what to say and even though I kind of want to be a middle school counselor what if the same thing happens? What if I won't be able to connect with them and help them with issues in their lives? That would be the worst thing ever. Not being able to communicate with a child and ultimately letting them down this way. As you can see I think about this a lot (;

  4. Hi Adriana,
    I'm Carmen Stefanescu from:

I signed to follow your blog. I'd be glad if you could honor mine, too.
I live in Romania, better known as Dracula's country. I am a teacher of English and German in my own town and country. Teaching is a very rewarding profession. Not in money income but in inner satisfaction. and this comes in time, take my word.
    Best regards!
    Carmen

  5. I saw the name Bacardi and laughed, my dad wants that as a dogs name along with a few others. We have a pit named Whisky, he just likes to name dogs after drinks.

  6. Hi Adriana!
So you stopped by my site and said you liked the quotes I had for my challenges (thank by the way!) and I had to check out your blog. It is crazy how much we have in common: I am 18, a Psych major, and have two dogs! J.K. Rowling will forever be one of my favorite authors and I loved the book Thirteen Reasons Why! I love your blog and have really enjoyed reading your reviews! Can't wait to see what else you read!

    1. You are welcome Lo! Has college/university gotten to you yet? I don't get to talk to many psych majors oddly. I also have a cat which I really need to add on there. You have great tastes in authors and books! Thanks for stopping by. I'll make it a point to visit your blog (:

    2. I'm not quote sure what I think of college yet... I moved six hours from my home to a new state and I must say that I don't like it too much here: the weather is freezing and the landscape is way too hilly, but overall it isn't so bad. I'm not quite sure if I am going to stay a Psych major or change it to my minor, but I haven't even figured out what exactly I want to do yet... so many possibilities.
Thank you! I just finished The Storyteller about an hour ago... it was absolutely amazing!
I would love it if you would... I do get to many viewers, so I appreciate any and all feedback and pointers!

    4. It's a lot to get used to. I didn't have to move out but it's still a very strange experience in the beginning. I'm still contemplative on my psych major. I'm not sure what I want to do with the rest of my life so it's a bit worrying. No problem, just keep on with reviews or other contents and you will get the views.

  7. I also love Eva Ibbotson, and sent her a fan letter once - to which I got a lovely reply.
