August 2016 Monthly Recap

I haven't been the most consistent blogger this year for some reason. Last semester was very difficult for me but I'm surprised that it took so long to really come back. I do stop from time to time. But I always come back because this is my favorite hobby other than reading. I have not stopped reading though. I have read about 130+ books including rereads. I'm pretty happy that I was still able to enjoy so many wonderful books.

Books Read

Blog Plans

I plan to read the Complete Grimm's Fairy tales which I'll be reviewing in pieces this month. I also want to get lot of old and new books reviewed in full on the blog so there will be a lot of that. I plan on taking part in the discussions from my challenge I've neglected so much but there have been so many other who've done so well like Sue and Amanda from Orendi at Legendi! I also want to figure out what books I've completed for each challenge.

How was your Summer?
What are you planning to read this September?

Comments

  1. I've gotten a lot of ARCs read/reviewed for September, which makes me feel good. Hopefully I can get some personal books read and then get started on October reads early!

    1. I'm starting to read a bunch of ARCs that I plan on reviewing this Septemeber. I just read one today in fact and it's super satisfying I agree.

  2. Gosh, you're reading Dragonball! This comic was one of my primary school classmates' favourite. He was a die-hard fan. Looks like you got many books read during this period, Adriana. Well done! I'm looking forward to finishing David Copperfield in Sept, as well as another Joan Bauer MG novel.

    1. Actually, Dragon Ball Z which i didn't realize was different. It's five years after everything that happened in Dragon Ball. I used to love the shows as a kid (:

Joan Bauer! I love her. I actually plan on reviewing one of her books soon.

  3. Oh have fun with the Grimm reads...so dark and different from the popular Disney versions. My son loves Dragonball Z!

    1. I keep on getting mad at the stories. They are all so improbable and violent! But there are good ones in between and it's nice to read the original stories Disney uses.

  4. I can't wait to hear all your thoughts about Grimm's Fairy Tales. Definitely not quite the way Disney has made them out. Violent for sure!
