Hot Summer Reads Readathon 2013

I'm signing up for another read-a-thon. I wasn't exactly attacking my stack of to read books the last time. This time I'm going for it. I'm really obsessed with these readathons. The Hot Summer Readathon is hosted by Patrick @ The Bookshelves and Jen @ YA Romantics. This should be fun. I must remember that reviews are important too!

I will be updating what I'm reading on here. But before that I will post a ridiculously long list of books I want to read just because as well as my goals.

Goals:

1) Read 5 books
2) Read at least 1,000 pages
3) Have fun!

Book List:

I have 21 books on my list of to-read books for this challenge. Of course I won't be reading all of them but it's better to have a huge list to choose from than none at all.

Current Read(s):

Thoughts: 11:20 PM I finished my first book earlier. I knew as I was reading it wasn't going to be the greatest book but it was interesting enough to continue on a finish it. I'm going to work on the review in the morning. I will also be starting my next book soon and if it's really good I'll probably stay up until I finish it.

Number of books read today: 1
Number of pages read today: 298

Challenge:

Post up a picture of your tbr pile:

Most of my books are on my ereader so that's why my pile looks so small.

And...

Why Am I Reading These Books?

To participate, all you need to do is choose a book from your TBR pile and give at least one reason that you're reading it.

When We Wake is a book I never expected to want to read. I actually didn't know about it until one day I got an e-mail saying that I won it in a giveaway. I don't remember exactly trying to win this particular book but I do remember the giveaway itself. So as I was waiting for it I thought nothing of it but then when it did and I saw the summary and read a couple of pages I was hooked. Problem was I had other books I had to read. I've put this book off long enough. I'm sure I'll love it.

Thoughts: 5:40 PM Just made a trip to the library! Guess who's deviating from her list? Yep. That would be me. I'm going to read Love, Stargirl and go on break with Mira in the Present Tense which is a very long book with tiny print on my ereader. It's going pretty good though but I estimate I have three more hours to go...

Thoughts: Got another verse book down this month! It was actually pretty good. Love, Stargirl was also really good. It showed a different side of Stargirl. It wasn't as great as the first but it was still pretty great. I changed my goals. I have had other things on my mind this week. I still have enjoyed what I have read so far.

    1. Thanks so much Monica. I enjoyed it but not as much as Stargirl. It had a whole different feel to it.

  5. Sounds like the challenge is going well so far! I can't wait to hear what you think of Love, Stargirl- as I have it on my shelf to read and have been itching towards it since I read your review of Stargirl and was reminded how much I enjoyed that one. :)
