2012 Fall Into Reading

How I love challenges. I decided to join this challenge after seeing it at rinn reads. This particular challenge is hosted by Callapidder Days. It runs from today (September 22nd) to December 21st. This will keep me in line with what I need to read which will be comprised of books I get from the library, books given to me by authors, and NetGalley reads. I haven't been on the ball for a while so this should keep me focused. The books read and reviewed won't necessarily be in this order.

My List:
The Sheol by Mia Hoddell
Blue Violet by Abigail Owen
Roost by Jasmine Winterson
Splendors and Glooms by Laura Amy Schlitz
Freakling by Lana Krumwiede
Will Love 4 Crumbs by Jonna Iven
The Emerald City by J.A. Beard
Sign Language by Amy Ackley
Two and Twenty Dark Tales
Broxo by Zack Giallongo
Born Round by Frank Bruni
Crash by Jerry Spinelli
Ever by Jessa Russo
Schooled by Gordan Korman
Enchanted by Alethea Kontis
Vamped by Lucienne Diver
This Dark Endeavor by Kenneth Oppel
Fairest by Gail Carsen Levine
Gentlemen by Michael Northrop
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by by Mark Twain
Something Maybe by Elizabeth Scott
How Not To Be Popular by Jennifer Ziegler
Give up the Ghost by Megan Crewe
The Golden Compass Trilogy by Philip Pullman

Sheesh... So many books, so little time. I'm going to try my best. I'll be reading and reviewing a couple of books I have received through authors, my last book club read, The Golden Compass discussion I missed and possible book review, and a NetGalley read this week. Whenever I don't read for a while I forget how great it is to read so I need to read more. There will most likely, knowing me, other books added to this list later. I will post an update about half way through and a wrap up of what I've read. This should be a fun challenge.

  1. The only books on your list I've read are Tom Sawyer - which I read a very long time ago - and Something Maybe - which was sweet and fun.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a lengthy list! :)

    Happy reading!

    1. I'm reading Something Maybe mainly because the cover reminds me a lot of another book I'm reading: How Not to Be Popular - a favorite of mine. It also has the same concept and is short and sweet too so I want to compare them.

      Me too!

  2. Thanks for following, I'm following too! =)
I haven't read that Jerry Spinelli book, but I remember liking his stuff when I was younger. And Tom Sawyer is a great book!

    1. No problem you have a lovely blog. Thanks!
I'm kind of worried about Tom Sawyer. I don't read that many classics.
Spinelli's one of my favorites. Eggs, Maniac Magee, Wringer, and Loser are the ones I've read before. Eventually I'll read all of his (:

    1. Planning on it! I'm going to try to read a bunch of monster books in October or at least some. Hopefully I like this one because I think? the sequel's already out.

  5. How fun! A great way to stay focused. I have only read three of the books on your list. I will be looking forward to your reviews so I can find out about the others and of course to see what you thought of the ones I have read (Schooled, Tom Sawyer, and Fairest). :)

    1. Really? Schooled I didn't expect. It seems like such an odd book to read but it's for my group on Goodreads. That's a lot compared to other (:

  9. I've been seeing Splendors and Glooms on a couple of lists. It's definitely on my To Be Read Eventually pile. ;) I'm reading Two and Twenty Dark Tales as well. I'm hoping it will be good creepy reading for the FrightFall readathon this week.

    Happy Reading!

    1. There's a readathon? Interesting... I'll have to check that out.
I heard it was just okay from another blogger but I will try to keep that review out of my mind while trying to read Two and Twenty Dark Tales myself.
Splendors and Glooms ended up being a fantastic read if I do say so myself (:
